The two terms are NOT equivalent.
It is NOT ethical on my view to say, "If they did it we can do the same."
One fairly good definition of an ethics decision, to me, is, "If every paper in the country put on the front page what you are doing or saying, would you be happy to be so identified?"
I have no respect for those who would ignore principles of Integrity, fairness and openness --principles the Democratic Party MUST STAND FOR.
Further, bringing up ideas like this at the last minute, so people don't have a chance to refute them is low and cheap, period.
