John Goodman is not McCain's advisor. He is working for a think tank and speaking for them not the McCain campaign.

You mean John Goodman is not an advisor to John McCain, like Karl Rove isn't an adviser to John McCain?

I just read a news report that said the number of uninsured Americans has "dropped". Yeah, ya know why? Because they're all dead.

I just went to the ER and found out I had to pay $100 (a co-payment). I have insurance but I am a working middle class man, and it was hard to pay up, in fact the doctor bills are piling up. So, even if you have insurance, the premiums keep rising, practically unaffordable for the whole family, and then you get hit with high deductibles and co-payments. What's the point of it all anyway? I was uninsured for a while, but now I am just broke trying to keep up payments.

"Mr. Goodman, who helped craft Sen. John McCain’s health care policy"=an advisor to Senator McCain. He perhaps is not speaking in his capacity as an 'advisor' in this instance, but this is the thought process that developed McCain's health care plan. The plan reflects this by not having any strategy that provides health care for the uninsured.
